Covid-19 & Continuation of works
We at Cambridge Electrical Services are very aware of the risks of the Corona virus,
but understand people at home and businesses may still require our services
during this extraordinary time.
We are planning to continue to provide a complete service to our existing and new
customers as long as we are allowed to do so and will be taking extra measures
to ensure the highest levels of hygiene whilst we may be working at your
Please be assured that we are monitoring the situation and receiving regular updates
from Public Health England, NHS England, and our Regulatory Bodies as to how we
should be conducting ourselves, and we are adhering to all the current
guidelines to allow us to continue to provide the best possible support at your
homes and businesses.
If you have an emergency please call our office and we will initially talk with you
about the problem and see if we can resolve it or make the situation safe over
the phone, if we do need to visit you we will ask whether you are showing any symptoms
of the virus and may ask that you isolate yourselves in a separate room while
we sort out the problem. On completion we will let you know we have finished,
wipe any surfaces we may have been in contact with and let you know when we
During this challenging time we are still happy to provide quotations for works you
may be considering, it may be that we ask for you to send us pictures to help
rather than arranging a visit to survey the work, if we do need to survey in
person we would ask that we keep the recommended 2 metre distance between
ourselves at all times, we may wear surgical type gloves and any surfaces we need
to be in contact with will be wiped down before we leave.
Booked in works
We will call you the evening before or the morning of the appointment and check that
you are still happy for us to attend and you are all still symptom free, we
will confirm that we are all still well and able to carry out the works. On completion
we will wipe all surfaces we have been in contact with, no paperwork will be
left with you, we will forward any necessary paperwork to you by e-mail.
We appreciate that during a normal business working week it is sometimes difficult
to carry out some works which are disruptive to office staff, production and processes,
now may be an opportunity to have the EICR, Emergency Light or PAT testing
carried out while staff levels are minimal, we are happy to provide quotations
for any of these works and any other testing, Maintenance and installation works
you may have been considering.
