Domestic electricians in Cambridge
It’s important to feel safe and secure in your own home. We work with homeowners across Cambridge to make sure their power and lighting work perfectly.
What we do in homes
If you’ve just moved house, we can test your existing wiring so you know where you stand. And when there’s work to do, we’ll plan a time that suits you.
- Fuse board (consumer unit) and earth bonding upgrades
- Electrical inspection and testing (EICR) of houses and rental properties
- Security and external lighting
- Rewiring of complete properties
- New feature lighting, including recessed spotlights
- Connection of heating control systems
- Extractor fans in kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms
- Smoke, heat and carbon monoxide detectors
- New supplies to garages and sheds
- Storage heater installation and repairs
- Extensions and conservatories
- New build house installations
- Air conditioning units supplied and installed
- EV chargers on drives and garage walls

Fuse board upgrades
An old fuse box with rewireable fuses, or a board without RCD protection, is often flagged when a home’s electrics are inspected. A modern consumer unit protects you against electric shock and fire, and makes faults far quicker to track down.

Very professional, friendly and reasonably priced company we have used twice for domestic work, and plan to use again soon. They were particularly helpful with a quick thermostat change for a very ill relative.
Approachable and informative on their visit. My boiler stopped working and the team visited quickly to assist. Explained all issues and ensured everything was working properly before leaving!
Prompt service. Electrician was accommodating, knowledgeable and reassuring
Questions homeowners ask
Do you take on small jobs?
Yes. Customers ask us for everything from a new thermostat or a couple of lights to wiring up a garden office or rewiring a whole house.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. As an NICEIC approved contractor and registered competent person, we certify our work and notify it under Building Regulations where that’s required.
Do you test the wiring when someone moves house?
Yes. An Electrical Installation Condition Report tells you the condition of the wiring and anything that needs putting right, which is ideal if you’ve just moved in.
